We are overwhelmed by this great city. The smells and sounds of the mercado ver-o-peso, the nice colorful old buildings, mangal de gracas,the general clean and good state of the town and especially the Rio Amazonas!! We`re very touched by the beauty and size of the river of all rivers.
We start our days with a great Guarana and Acai juice and end it with a pineapple juice and watching the sun going down over the Amazonas....A great view!
Our new host Lecy and her big family take us along to a family birthday party where we learn to dance Forro.

Nous avons été charmées par cette ville, par les odeurs et les sons de son marché Ver-O-Peso, ses bâtiments colorés, son parc botanique "Mangal de gracas", mais surtout par "el Rio Amazonas" !! Nous ne sommes pas restée insensible face à la beauté et la taille de " Madame Amazone".
Nous commencons la journée par un excellent jus de " Guarana y Acai" et le terminons par un jus d' ananas " Suco de Abacaxi" face au couché de soleil sur l' Amazone... quel spectale!
Nos nouveaux hôtes, Lecy et sa tribu, nous concient á la fête danniversaire d' un membre de leur famille oú nous apprenons nos premiers pas de Forro.

What a trip to get here. 2h on bumpy roads with massive holesand 2h on an even worse sand road and a 2h boatride.The first time we travel by boat. This town is great to chill as not alot to do. Its manely a gateway for tours to the lencois parc.

Quel trajet pour arriver là! 2heures sur une route defoncée, 2 heures sur une route de sable pleines de bosses et 2heures de bateau... première fois qu'on prend un bateau d'ailleurs.
Cette ville est parfaite pour se reposer, il n'y a pas grand chose à faire, c'est essentiellement un point de départ pour des excursions dans le Parc Lencois.
